Video Playback Options

Overview...

By default, video and audio in a Nefsis conference is "Host controlled". This means that it's the Host's responsibility to play video and unmute audio for attendees in the conference. You can change this standard setting, so that the specific conference can turn on the video automatically!

The following article will guide you through how to change the video playback options for the conference...

Step-by-Step...

  • While in a Nefsis conference (as a Host)...
  • Select the Video tab
  • Select Video Playback and choose the desired option for controlling video playback

  • The setting will then be saved for the conference.

Video playback controls explained...

  • Host Controlled
The standard setting for conferences, requires a Host to manually play the videos / webcams for the specific conference.
Useful when the conference is used for a number of purposes and you don't always want the videos to play automatically when people join.

  • Always On For Hosts And Presenters
Whenever a Host or Presenter joins (or gets promoted), the video will be automatically played. However, a Host will still have to manually play any Participant's video.

  • Always On For Everyone
Configures the specific conference so that all videos / webcams are played when anyone joins the conference.
