Advancial Federal Credit Union Leverages Web and Video Conferencing from Nefsis to Connect and Train Dispersed Workforce

SAN DIEGO — December 8, 2011 — Online video conferencing innovator Nefsis® today announced that Advancial Federal Credit Union (Advancial), a full-service financial institution, deployed the company’s multiparty web and video conferencing cloud-based software solution to connect branch offices located throughout the United States. Advancial’s workforce consists of more than 160 employees and, with branches located in four states ranging in distance from Dallas to Alaska, in-person training meetings and related travel expenses were soaring. As a result of the video conference technology, Advancial was able to save money and travel expenses while ensuring training sessions were fully interactive and worthwhile.

“During video conferences, trainers can see trainee body language, which helps indicate whether they are comprehending and engaged,” said Laurelle Campbell, Director of Employee Development. “And trainees now see they’re all learning as a team and are willing to ask questions and talk to each other about their learning. This is an important use case for Nefsis in our organization and I’ve seen an improvement in the training session outcomes with each employee.”

Nefsis’ technology also includes advanced collaboration features that enable trainers and trainees to share presentations and desktops, annotate over live applications and distribute handouts during each session. The full suite of features includes the ability to play movie files, and running remote control sessions in coaching and training meetings. Especially important to Advancial, the collaboration features ensure employees are well versed in complex computer functions that enable them to process thousands of transactions daily.

“Online video conferencing technology is perfect for training environments as it allows you to see body language and become more engaged in the training process, which ultimately leads to productivity gains for businesses,” said Tom Toperczer, VP of marketing at Nefsis. “In addition, the overworked training leader can conduct live, classroom-like training sessions, without having to worry about skyrocketing travel expenses. Our customers, including Advancial, are able to improve interoffice meetings and individual training sessions with our market-leading technology.”
