Is it possible to configure Nefsis to go to a higher definition than 640 x 480 using a Logitech 9000?A second question - can a typical VOIP (SIP-based) call dial into a Nefsis meeting? Say, for example, phones on an Asterisk server? Thanks in advance for the info.
Nefsis is capable of sharing video at resolutions up to 1080p. Please see this section in our Online User Guide for information on changing individual video resolution within a Nefsis conference: https://www.nefsis.com/manual/cc-video-resolution.html. Maximum video resolution can be configured on a per-conference basis by the conference owner. In some cases, the Nefsis client will determine that the system is not capable of video capture at a higher resolutions and it will disable those higher resolutions so that the user's conference experience is not degraded. We do not currently provide SIP integration in Nefsis, but this is a planned feature. Look for an announcement regarding this capability in the future.
Thanks for the quick reply. Nefsis is only presenting me with options that go up to 640 x 480, so I'm assuming this means that Nefsis has determined my system is not capable of higher resolutions. I have enough bandwidth (15MB up, 25MB down) and the camera is a Logitech 9000 so it is capable of higher resolutions. Is there some way of knowing what are the limiting factors? CPU or memory? USB speed?
It could be a combination of multiple factors. When you right click on your video in the conference and mouse over the Resolution menu, are additional resolutions above 640x480 visible but not selectable, or is 640x480 the highest resolution listed?
Whoops - that's not how I was getting to the video resolution - I was going to the menu at the top. Whn I right click I get a whole huge list of resolutions. Let me try them out now ...
Were you able to select and use the higher resolutions available on the camera?
