This article describes the process of setting up Nefsis on an image for Windows XP/Vista/7.
Windows 7\Vista:
• Login as the Administrator • Join a Nefsis meeting. • Configure the video device then leave the meeting room • Browse to %userprofile%\appdata\Local\Wiredred • Open up Notepad then drag the file ‘CC_Settings.xml’ to the Notepad window and release the mouse • Remove the line <option name=”uniqueID” value=”xxxxxxxxxxxx”/> • Save the file • Browse to %userprofile%\appdata\Local • Right click on the ‘Wiredred’ folder and choose ‘Copy’ • Browse to C:\Users\Default\AppData \Local; Paste the ‘WiredRed’ folder under the ‘Local’ folder (If you do not see a ‘Default’ folder under users; enable hidden folders) • Reboot • Validate the configuration for a new user • Nefsis is now configured for all new users
Windows XP:
• Login as an Administrator • Join a Nefsis meeting and configure the video settings then leave the room • Browse to %userprofile%\local settings\application data\wiredred • Open Notepad then drag the file ‘CC_Settings.xml’ to the Notepad window. • Remove the line <option name=”uniqueID” value=”xxxxxxxxxxxx”/> • Save the file • Browse to %userprofile%\local settings\application data\ • Right click on the folder ‘WiredRed’ and choose ‘Copy’ • Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\local settings\application data\ (If you do not see a ‘Default’ folder under users; enable hidden folders) • Paste the ‘WiredRed’ folder • Reboot • Validate the configuration for a new user
