FYI: Following installation of Nefsis (5.1.0.240), MS Word 2007 started to crash on exit (event log entry below). Disabling the Nefsis add-in wrMSOfficeAddin resolved the issue. I was surprised that the add-in was present as I had not selected any of the MS Office Integration options in 3rd party settings.

Faulting application WINWORD.EXE, version 12.0.6504.5000, time stamp 0x49e7f5b6, faulting module wwlib.dll, version 12.0.6504.5000, time stamp 0x49e7f5f9, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00dd62a3, process id 0x157c, application start time 0x01ca1bed1c1a0239.

This is possibly caused by corruption in Word's Data key for the user. Perform the following to see if it resolves the issue:

1. Close any open Office applications
2. Start > Run > regedit
3. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
4. Right click the Data key and select Delete.

Word will recreate this key when it is launched. Re-enable the wrMSOfficeAddin and see if the issue recurs.

Thanks for the suggestion Scott. Unfortunatley it does not - I disabled the add-In because the Data key fix did not work for me (or others). FYI: We've now see this issue with two other installations. All installations have been MS 2007, 1 x Vista, 2 x XP. Conversely we've a significant number of installations where we don't see the issue. What is the purpose of the add-in?

The addin allows you to interact with Nefsis through the ribbon menu in Office 2007 applications, and in Outlook it allows the use of Outlook Calendar invitations for scheduling conferences and inviting attendees. Are any other 3rd party Office addins installed on the affected machines?
