Texas Partners Credit Union Implements Nefsis Video Conferencing to Schedule
Regular Meetings amongst Branch Offices
Texas Partners Credit Union has four locations serving the Bell, Coryell, and Lampasas counties in Texas.
With assets of $117 million and over 19,000 members, Texas Partners has a large range of members and
employees to serve.
The four branches formerly held quarterly employee meetings at headquarters. The other locations are at
least twenty five miles away from the main branch, making it time consuming and costly to hold these meetings
regularly. Seeking a cost effective way to connect employees without the expenses of travel, Christian Mulvey,
Texas Partners Information Technology Director sought out an up-to-date alternative.

Nefsis Cloud-Based Delivery
Initially, Texas Partners implemented a video conferencing solution for desktops only, soon realizing an
expansion to conference rooms was necessary for flexibility and better online meetings. To meet this requirement
using proprietary hardware systems was far too expensive. While researching costs, Mulvey came across Nefsis web
and video conferencing which is a cloud-based solution widely compatible with most
video conferencing equipment,
including A/V peripherals for desktops and rooms. All that is needed to launch Nefsis
multipoint video
conferencing is a computer, standard Internet connection, and basic webcam.
With Nefsis, Texas Partners eliminated travel costs and the credit union is now holding monthly employee
online meetings. The technology has also brought together board members who are retired and prefer to avoid travel
for recurring meetings.
"It helps us maintain a sense of community with our employees, and it allows our
board members to attend meetings from afar," Mulvey said.
The ability to share documents,
PowerPoint presentations, and record sessions are among Mulvey’s favorite features of Nefsis. He
also plans on solving member issues through Nefsis’ help desk tools and remote control access.
"Ultimately, there’s no replacement for one on one," Mulvey
said. "But times are changing and companies are looking for ways of doing new things for cost
savings."
